New Year tree in the ZIL Cultural Center "Netochka and Christmas"
40 minutes before the start of the performance, guests will find themselves on a large playground, which is a New Year’s city with snowy, cozy streets and a lively central square. Children will be met by locals - a juggler, violinist, janitor, burgomaster, chimney sweep, projectionist, two pretty ghosts. You can watch filmstrips in the Electrotheatre, learn the basics of different arts, listen to the story of a fairytale city, talk with each character, take a picture in a photo studio and much more.
The central event of the Christmas tree in the ZIL Cultural Center is the New Year musical fairy tale “Netochka and Christmas”. A touching story based on the work of F. M. Dostoevsky "Netochka Nezvanova" tells the story of a modest girl living with her stepfather in the attic and dreaming of getting into a rich house "with red curtains." Netochka begins to perform with street dancers, and soon the girl’s cherished desires, thanks to her sincerity, talent and kindness, become reality. The authors transfer the action of the story in our time, preserving the key episodes of the original source and examining them from the perspective of today. Recognizable images of the inhabitants of the metropolis are adjacent to fantastic characters, and the romantic aesthetics of the Dostoevsky era are adjacent to modernity.
The script and director of the fairy tale "Netochka and Christmas" was made by the director of the Moscow Novaya Opera Theater Sergey Morozov. The music was created specifically for the performance by composer Anton Svetlichny. The authors of the video decorations in the best traditions of the Christmas book illustration were the artist Andrei Rogozin and the animator Daniil Gerasimenko. The performance was choreographed by the Russian FarFor dance community and the pupils of the Children's Ballet Theater Gennady and Larisa Ledyakh. The creators of the interactive program are the winners of the Golden Mask Prize Liquid Theater.
On holidays, the ZIL Cultural Center will organize a New Year's children's cafe and art market. Parents, waiting for their children, will be able to spend time in a cozy recreation area and take part in master classes. The original design decoration will surprise and delight everyone with the gifts and the tree itself.
